Amber Calhoun, M.S., LPC proudly serves as a passionate co-owner and Co-Chief Operating Officer of Perspectives. Additionally, as the Lead Clinical Psychometrist, Amber provides assessment services to children and adults experiencing challenges related to Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental disabilities, executive functioning, anxiety, depression, and trauma. She administers evidence-based assessments to support diagnostic clarification and to guide individualized interventions and treatment planning. Amber works collaboratively with clients, parents/guardians, and educators to gather comprehensive background information and ensure a thorough evaluation process.
Amber received her bachelor's degree in psychology from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her master's degree in clinical/counseling psychology from Clayton State University. She has 10 years of experience with testing and administering clinical and psychoeducational assessments working in private practice and hospital settings. She has received specialized training for administering the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) to children and adults, as well as the Toddler Autism Symptom Inventory (TASI) and the Tele-ASD-Peds (TAP) to children aged 12-36 months to help diagnose or rule out Autism Spectrum Disorder. Prior to providing assessment services at Perspectives Psychological Resources, she provided individual outpatient therapy services to adolescents and young adults who have struggled with anxiety, depression, and trauma. Amber was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. She relocated to Atlanta, Georgia to pursue her master’s degree and has proudly called it home for the past six years. She has always had a passion for helping others achieve better overall wellness, whether it be physically or mentally. Amber believes it is imperative for each individual to receive culturally competent and informed services to ensure that appropriate treatment and interventions are provided to address their individual needs.

When she’s not supporting families, Amber enjoys diving into TV series and getting lost in a good movie. She also loves lacing up her skates for a spin — you might catch her gliding around a local rink or cruising an outdoor trail on the weekend. When adventure calls, Amber explores new restaurants and activities around the city and travels whenever she gets the chance. Above all, she treasures quality time with family, friends, and loved ones, often sharing plenty of laughter and meaningful moments together. Amber is also the proud new cat mom to Picasso, her playful and quirky feline sidekick!

Lakisha Wilkins is the Co-Owner of Perspectives and serves as the Lead Psychoeducational Psychometrist. She is also a Certified School Psychologist with over 13 years of experience bridging the fields of education and mental health.

Lakisha specializes in conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations that help children, teens, and families better understand learning profiles, behavioral patterns, and emotional needs. Her evaluations are rooted in evidence-based practices, with a focus on providing clarity, support, and practical guidance to help individuals thrive in academic and everyday life.

As both a practicing school psychologist and private psychometry specialist, Lakisha uses validated assessment tools to evaluate academic achievement, social-emotional development, behavioral concerns, and adaptive functioning. She collaborates closely with families to determine the most appropriate supports and accommodations—especially when navigating school-based services. Whether participating in IEP meetings, 504 Plan discussions, or student support team reviews, Lakisha is a committed advocate who helps families navigate educational systems with confidence and clarity.

Becoming co-owner of Perspectives has been a meaningful step in Lakisha’s journey. She is deeply passionate about creating a warm, inclusive, and empowering environment where families feel truly seen and supported. Whether working one-on-one with a child or helping lead the direction of the practice, her mission is always rooted in making a positive and lasting difference.
Lakisha holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Hofstra University and a master’s degree in School Psychology from Adelphi University. She has received extensive training in areas such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, dyslexia, executive functioning, special education eligibility, bilingual assessment, behavioral disorders, MTSS (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support), functional behavior assessments, IEPs, and 504 Plans.

Originally from New York, Lakisha has worked as a school psychologist in New York, South Carolina, and Georgia. She is a passionate child advocate and a lifelong learner with a strong commitment to culturally responsive assessment and student-centered support.

Outside of her professional life, Lakisha is the proud cat mom to a tuxedo cat named Skippy. She enjoys attending concerts and festivals in Atlanta, exploring new foodie destinations, and taking on hands-on DIY projects—she’s even built her own freestanding deck and backyard fire pit. A seasoned solo traveler, Lakisha has visited more than 15 countries—including Colombia, India, Panama, Thailand, Kenya, Greece, and Indonesia—experiences that continue to inform her perspective and enrich her work with diverse families.
